Among several sculptures-in-progress, this is one I have not shown before. Inspired by one of the “plant” illustrations in the Voynich Manuscript, I made these cast glass pieces more than a year ago but have put them aside while I worked on other things. I have not decided how to finish it yet, and there is a different sculpture that I think will be my next priority to work on, but I recently took this one out to see if any new ideas would come to me. Sometimes these sculptures come together over long periods of time and if I get stuck on one design, I work on something else and then come back to it.
