Blue Voynich Nymph (porcelain sculpting)
This new sculpture is inspired by f82r of the Voynich Manuscript — my last sculpture, the blue lightning star, was also inspired by an illustration on a different part of this folio, but this time I am focused on the figure with the blue “headdress.” Like the other “nymphs” in the manuscript’s drawings, this one has some unique features that I want to capture three dimensionally. I am sculpting the figure in porcelain, and I am going to combine this with some glass sculpting for the cup-like structure that she stands in.
