Sculpting with Porcelain Tubes
Continuing with another work-in-progress, I’m making a porcelain structure that will become a base for this sculpture (pictured below held up by a temporary stand)
In the video, I show the process of making a porcelain base using a technique with extruded tubes of clay:
The porcelain will take a week or two to slowly dry before it can be fired, so in the meantime I’ll be focusing on some other projects, and will come back to this one after it’s fired.
And if anyone is wondering what became of the shadowboxes from my last post, there were some unexpected challenges with those, but all will be explained next time!
